I can’t believe its already time for another Ipsy bag! This is my third month of the Ipsy subscription service and I’m ready to say that I officially recommend it! For only $10 a month you receive a makeup bag and six items that range from sample size to full size. Everyone receives a different bag, personalized according to their preferences, skin tone, skin type, hair color, etc. So far, I have only been sent vegan and cruelty-free products so I’m giving this service my stamp of approval. They don’t have a wait-list at the moment and if you use the link above you and I both get 250 points (redeemable for product samples that change out monthly).
This month’s bag was particularly cool. Black with gold hardware is always a classic look and the sort of spiky texture gives it a bit of an edge.
I really, really love this Dirty Little Secret in Nude Beach. It is exactly like a MAC lipgloss that I had to throw away when I found out they aren’t cruelty-free. That one particularly stung because I loved the pink with gold shimmer so much but now I have a guilt-free replacement! This is a full-size lip gloss at 0.1 oz.
I was excited to receive this one because I’ve been wanting to try Colorpop for a while now but wasn’t sure where to start. I was frankly very impressed with this brow pencil. I’ve been using a brow gel lately because I feel like it makes my brows pop more than pencils do, but this pencil performed just as well as my gel! This is a retractable pencil with a spoolie on the other end and is full size at 0.003 oz.
Next up is the blush from Pixi by Petra in the shade Beachrose. This is a very lovely shade, sort of neutral while adding warmth to the skin. I think this would be flattering to a large range of skin tones. This is another brand that I hadn’t had a chance to try so I was happy to see it in my bag. I would consider this to be a deluxe sample size at 0.16 oz (their full size is 0.36 oz).
I use the Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer in Green everyday to off-set the redness in my skin. Lo and behold, this guy shows up in my bag just as I’m about to run out. This is their Radiance primer and contains hyaluronic acid (an ingredients that attracts moisture from the air like a tiny sponge). It has a lovely golden sheen for when you want to glow, baby, glow. This is a sample size at only 0.25 oz.
Lastly, we have these full sized face masks from Manefit, the Lily Whitening and Brightening and the Mugwort Astringent and Pore Care. Both of these products are high in natural acids such as grapefruit, orange, lemon, and lime, so I only felt comfortable with testing one of them. I went with the Lily Whitening and Brightening.

Not a huge difference, not that there would be after just one application, but it did make my skin look less dull. I had some mild irritation but it passed after a few minutes. It has a nice clean smell without being heavily perfumed. There is plenty of excess product after removing the sheet that you could save and use again.
This is the makeup look I threw together so you guys could see the products in action. The products used that weren’t from the bag are:
- Foundation – Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation
- Cream Highlight and Contour – Hard Candy Face Duo Stick in Light
- Powder Highlight and Contour – BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Contour Palette
- Eyeshadow – NYX Adorable Palette
- Mascara – E.L.F.
